Health cabinet secretary Aden Duale has once again defended the multi-billion shillings Kenya-U.S. health cooperation framework, following a high court decision suspending its implementation. Duale says the deal is lawful, tightly safeguarded, and designed to strengthen Kenya’s health system without compromising citizens’ data. Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sherif has also criticized those who went to court, saying their actions risk taking Kenya back to the 1960s.
