Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has announced that the government has resolved an ongoing dispute with local publishers, paving the way for the resumption of textbook printing and distribution. The dispute was caused by a KSh 11 billion debt, with KSh 5.6 billion secured after consultations with the Ministry of Finance. CS Ogamba said publishers will soon receive formal letters to restart supply, while the distribution of Grade 10 textbooks is still ongoing but incomplete due to higher student enrollment in some schools.
