Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has defended her decision to eject the management of Nakuru War Memorial Hospital saying it was aimed at safeguarding the hospital from land grabbers. Appearing before the Senate health committee, governor Kihika insisted the current directors of the hospital fraudulently obtained the extension of the lease of the land and changed the ownership documents of the hospital. The hospital management however dismissed the governor's position accusing the county government of chaotic ejection of staff and patients that saw six patients lose their lives.
