Government to clear Sh5.3 billion SHA claims owed to hospitals
The Government will, in the next two months, clear Sh 5.3billion owed to hospitals by the Social Health Authority (SHA).
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Bare Duale said they are waiting for a supplementary budget from the treasury to settle the claims.
Speaking in Kakamega county on Wednesday, Duale said the pending bills are for those facilities whose claims range from Sh1 to Sh10 million, noting that those with over Sh10 Million claims will have to undergo verification.
