Residents of Gwitembe, in the volatile Angata Barikoi border, are accusing police of neglect and siding with their attackers following an overnight raid that left several people injured and property destroyed. The residents say the attack happened at the dawn of December 29, and that officers from a nearby police camp failed to respond despite repeated distress calls.
