Huawei trains 200 Wajir youths in ICT, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship

At least 200 youths in Wajir County have benefited from a 6-week intensive digital skills training program via the Huawei Digitruck in Wajir East. The Huawei digital skills training programme aimed at equipping young people with knowledge in digital technology and emerging artificial intelligence (ai). The programme targets youth aged between 18 and 35 years who have completed form four or hold certificate or diploma qualifications from any field of training. The training is focused on basic ICT, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship to empower local youth and is in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and the digital economy. It is aimed at improving employability and self-reliance in an increasingly digital economy.
