    More than 35 million Nigerians, roughly 15% of the population, are estimated to live with some form of disability. They face daily challenges and feel their needs are not taken into account. Biometric scanners reject scarred or worn fingerprints, while facial verification tools exclude some people with visual impairments. In cities, pavements can rise up to 40cm with no ramps for wheelchairs, and stairs continue to make it impossible to access public and private buildings. The gaps are both digital and physical, and are widespread.
