Ida Odinga distances herself from political debate amid tensions

Kenya's ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Ida Odinga, says she has taken time off to mourn her husband, the late former prime minister Raila Odinga, distancing herself from political matters in the country. Speaking in Mombasa during a stakeholders conference in the procurement and business sector, Ida Odinga says she is not a politician and will not engage in the ongoing political bickering. Ida says there are others within the Odinga family involved in politics.
