No Independent Presidential Candidate will be on the ballot come August 9th, this is after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission rejected Muthiora Kariara's application making him the last contestant to have his application rejected. Others who have had their application rejected on this last day of the vetting process are Safina Party presidential hopeful Jimmi Wanjigi and Walter Mong’are of Umoja Summit Party.
