The Institution of Engineers of Kenya is now calling for urgent reforms to address delays in approving development projects in Nairobi County.
The Engineers say the Electronic Development Applications Management System, meant to streamline approvals, is plagued by frequent downtimes and inefficiencies. Through its President Eng. Shammah Kiteme, the institution, says some approvals have taken over a year, discouraging developers and raising doubts about engineers' competence.
