The Independent Policing Oversight Authority is investigating circumstances that led to the fatal shooting of Sheryl Adhiambo, a 21 year old medical student on Saturday.
The incident that occurred in Huruma, Nairobi county triggered violent protests on Sunday as residents demanded justice for the family., IPOA says investigations are ongoing with investigators processing evidence and witnesses that will inform subsequent recommendations. This comes as the national police service says the deceased was caught in the crossfire as they pursued robbery suspects.
