Isiolo: Three police reservists shot dead in bandit attack

Three National Police Reservists have been shot and killed in Chari, Merti, Isiolo County. The three were killed by armed bandits who ambushed them last night in the area. According to Merti Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner Michael Kioni, the NPR were guarding livestock when they were ambushed by the bandits believed to be from Samburu County. Kioni has assured the residents that the government is doing everything possible to ensure the area is secure.This comes just a day after at least three people were killed and others injured in the neighbouring county of Meru.
