Jomo Kenyatta Boys High School in Bahati, Nakuru County has been closed indefinitely following a night of unrest resulting in the injury of two students while property of unknown value was reduced to ashes. The unrest is reported to have been triggered by long-standing grievances over management of the school amid claims of graft. During the melee, teachers’ offices, classrooms, the library and a computer laboratory were torched.
