JSC picks Warsame for Supreme Court appointment

The Judicial Service Commission has tonight picked Court of Appeal Judge Mohamed Warsame for appointment to the Supreme Court after concluding a two-day vetting exercise. Chief Justice Martha Koome, who is the chairperson of the commission, said the panel settled on Justice Warsame after he demonstrated the qualities required under the constitution for a judge of the Supreme Court. The Court of Appeal judge has been in legal practice for 32 years, including 22 years serving as a judge in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
