Kajiado main prison has become the first beneficiary of the `he for he adopt a decker` initiative that seeks to install at least 20,000 beds for prisons across the country.
The prison that hosts both male and female inmates has welcomed the initiative as an important step in improving the administration of justice for inmates. State Department of Correctional Services Principal Secretary Dr Salome Beacco says the 'He for He' and 'Adopt a Decker' programs funded by well-wishers will help restore inmates' dignity as stipulated in the 2010 constitution, easing inmates' rehabilitation efforts.
