Kamukunji Grounds transformed from protest symbol to community hub

For more than three decades, Kamukunji Grounds stood as a symbol of political reform, human rights and activism. The historic venue, once associated with violent clashes between police and pro-reform protesters, played a pivotal role in Kenya's journey to multiparty democracy and constitutional reform. Over the past year, however, the iconic site of the landmark Saba Saba rallies has been transformed into a modern community hub.
