Karakuta Fresh Produce plans to list on the Nairobi Securities Exchange by introduction, subject to approval by the NSE and the Capital Markets Authority.
The company, which exports avocados and organic herbs including basil, oregano, mint and coriander, says the listing will broaden its investor base, strengthen corporate governance and provide access to capital markets as it expands.
Established in 2018 in Karakuta, Kiambu County, the company sources Hass and Fuerte avocados from more than 3,000 farmers across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
It exports its produce to markets in Europe, the Gulf, Asia and China, and operates a Nairobi packhouse with a capacity of 250 containers, providing more than 1,100 jobs.
Synesis Capital will serve as the lead transaction advisor for the proposed NSE listing.
