KENHA maps blackspots ahead of holiday traffic

The Kenya national highways authority says it has identified blackspots along the major highways and has allocated budgets for the redesigns. Speaking in Thika,Kenha board chairperson Winnie Ngumi said Nithi bridge on the Nairobi - Embu - Meru highway is one of the black spots that is being redesigned to bring to an end accidents in the area. She said the authority will also be conducting further public participation on the recently launched rironi- Mau summit highway to explain to users about the toll fees Nacada vice chairperson Njeri Mathu on her part cautioned motorists against drinking and driving saying that it is the major cause of accidents.
