KENYA INTENSIFIES FIGHT AGAINST PLASTIC POLLUTION THROUGH CONSUMER-LED CIRCULAR ECONOMY PROGRAMME

Kenya is stepping up efforts to tackle plastic pollution and improve waste management through a consumer-led circular economy programme spearheaded by the Kenya Extended Producer Responsibility Organization (KEPRO). The initiative brings together manufacturers, county governments, waste pickers, environmental regulators and local communities to promote Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance, encourage household waste segregation and strengthen recycling across the country.
