Kenya has taken a major step in regulating surrogacy and assisted reproductive technologies (ART) with the passage of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Bill, 2022, by the National Assembly on November 11, 2025. The bill, sponsored by Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, now moves to the Senate for further consideration.
