Kenya is set to increase its exports to China, with the government seeking to take advantage of the Chinese market after securing a bilateral trade framework with China. This will grant Kenya preferential access to the 1.4 billion consumer market. Under the agreement, Kenyan goods, particularly agricultural produce and raw minerals, will enter the Chinese market duty-free, a move the government says could see exports more than double by the end of the year.
