Deputy president Kithure Kindiki now says the construction of the three-kilometer suspended Nithi bridge will commence soon, Following the conclusion of a lengthy procurement process.
Speaking at his Irunduni home in Tharaka Nithi as he hosted grassroot leaders from Maara Constituency also attribute the delay in the commencement of the bridge’s construction to designs of the bridge that had not been agreed upon, as well as delays in constituting the National Lands Commission. He has cautioned locals who will be affected by the construction against incitement by the opposition.
