Kindiki warns against fuel protests as Kenya Kwanza defends government stance

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has warned against planned protests over rising fuel prices, saying those calling for demonstrations are not aware of the global causes. The Kenya Kwanza faction has also criticized the opposition led by Rigathi Gachagua, accusing them of linking the fuel price hike to local factors and insisting that the government is doing everything possible to stabilize prices. The President’s allies have asked the opposition to stop criticizing President William Ruto’s administration, maintaining that the UDA–ODM alliance remains intact.
