The Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company has listed the second tranche of its 5-year green bond at the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
The listing now allows both retail and institutional investors, locally and internationally, to trade the bond in the secondary market following strong interest in the issuance.
The offer was oversubscribed by 312 percent, raising more than 9 billion shillings.
According to Jimmy Mbogo, despite the strong performance, retail investors continue to show limited participation in corporate bonds within the market.
