The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights has verified complaints of human rights violations from at least 1,800 victims linked to protests and demonstrations across the country. Commission Chairperson Claris Ogangah says the compiled list of victims will be presented to President William Ruto as part of efforts to initiate compensation. The Commission has further released draft reparations guidelines proposing a minimum payout of KSh 3 million for loss of life, and up to KSh 4 million for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
