KNEC unveils digital portal to track grade 3 learners’ progress under CBC

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has launched the Grade 3 Monitoring Learner’s Progress (MLP) portal, a digital platform aimed at improving the assessment of learners under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). Integrated with the Kenya Early Years Assessment (KEYA), the portal allows schools to register learners, administer assessments, and record results digitally. KNEC said the system enhances the Basic Education Curriculum Framework (BECF) by focusing on learners’ ability to apply knowledge, skills, and values in real-life situations.
