KUPPET: JSS should be domiciled in secondary schools as initially planned

    The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Garissa County branch is calling on the government to rescind its decision to domicile Junior Secondary learners in primary schools and instead host them in secondary schools as initially planned. The teachers are further pushing for the autonomy of Junior Secondary schools so that they can have their own structures as independent entities. They also decried lack of infrastructure such as laboratories, which compromise implementtaion of the competency based education .
