Community scouts in Migori County are calling on the Kenya Wildlife Service to consider renewing their contracts following the abrupt termination of contracts in January 2023. The former Community scouts want the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife to reinstate and renew their contracts to cushion them from abject poverty.The program which employed 5,500 youths across the country with Migori County benefiting with 90 community scouts was a form of job employment for Kenyan youths and a means of boosting workforce at the Kenya Wildlife Services.
