Members of the National Assembly have called for the immediate arrest of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and arraignment for inciting Kenyans, following his remarks that the 2027 general election could be marred by post-election violence worse than was witnessed in 2007-2008. Speaking in parliament after resumption of the house from a month-long recess, the MPs, led by the national assembly majority leader, Kimani Ichung’wah, called out security agencies for not taking action against Gachagua.
