Linda Mwananchi plans to register as political party ahead of 2027

The Linda Mwananchi team now says it will register the movement as a political party ahead of the August 2027 General Election. Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi says Linda Mwananchi is already one of Kenya's preferred political vehicles and is likely to field a candidate to challenge President William Ruto's bid for a second term in office. The leaders were speaking in Taita Taveta County, where they urged their supporters to leave ODM and join the new movement.
