Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir has announced that traders who will occupy the new Majengo Market will be issued with sectional titles for their stalls to prevent the illegal sale of allocated spaces. The move is expected to improve accountability and enable the county government to track ownership of every stall.
The announcement was made during a public participation forum in Majengo as the Sh600 million Makupa Mixed-Use Development Market project continues. The modern facility, launched by President William Ruto, will combine a state-of-the-art market with affordable housing and is expected to be completed within 12 months.
