From Samburu County, residents of Tamioyi village in Samburu West sub-county staged a peaceful protest to condemn the killing of their loved one by a roaming elephant. The victim was allegedly on his way home from work before he met his untimely demise.The residents faulted the Kenya Wildlife Service KWS for allegedly failing to avert the situation despite numerous complaints regarding the notorious elephant. The killing brings to five the number of people killed by wild animals over the last one year.
