The Peoples coalition on electoral reforms, led by former Chief Justice David Maraga, is calling on the IEBC to come clean on its preparations for the 2027 presidential election. The coalition has rejected plans for a centralized presidential vote-tallying centre, arguing that such an arrangement is not provided for in the Constitution. The group is also urging the electoral commission to clean up the voters register, strengthen election technology and tighten safeguards against vote manipulation.
