Mbadi defends Ruto amid economic slowdown

National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has come to the defense of President William Ruto, saying Kenyans should be fair to him when comparing economic growth during his tenure to that of his predecessors. Mbadi, who spoke to Citizen TV, said the drop in the economic growth from 4.7% to 4.6% last year, as documented in the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics survey, was caused by a slump in the agriculture, transport, and manufacturing sectors.
