North Kadem MCA Samson Obonyo has raised concerns over the alleged distribution of emergency relief food to churches instead of reserving it for vulnerable residents ahead of the expected September-October heavy rains in Migori County. Obonyo says Migori County allocated Sh44.2 million for emergency preparedness and response in the 2026/27 financial year. He alleges that relief supplies, including maize, rice, sugar and wheat flour, were distributed to churches and is calling for investigative agencies to probe the matter.
