Vocational Training Centre (VTC) instructors in Migori County have renewed calls for the county government to implement long-delayed promotions, saying years of stalled career progression have negatively affected staff morale and violated their employment rights.
The instructors, under the Migori County Instructors Welfare, gathered at the County Department of Education offices to demand immediate issuance of promotion letters. They say some employees have remained in the same job groups for between six and 15 years despite meeting the qualifications for promotion.
