The number of Kenyans reported missing in Russia has risen from 10 to 16 within the past 24 hours. While appearing before the Senate Committee on Security, Defence and Foreign Relations, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi confirmed the increase but noted that it remains unclear whether the individuals are dead or alive. Mudavadi further disclosed that 47 Kenyans who had been caught up in the situation have since been successfully repatriated and reunited with their families, as government-led rescue efforts continue in Russia.
