MURANG'A NURSES JOIN NATIONWIDE STRIKE OVER DELAYED CBA, SALARY ARREARS AND POOR WORKING CONDITIONS

Health services in Murang'a County were disrupted after nurses joined the nationwide strike called by the Kenya National Union of Nurses and Midwives (KNUNM). The nurses are demanding the implementation of the 2025–2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), payment of salary arrears dating back to the 2017 nationwide nurses' strike, implementation of career progression guidelines approved by the Public Service Commission, and improved working conditions.
