Murder suspect accused of murdering 20-year-old Sheila Chebet remanded

Vincent Bett, the prime suspect in the Murder of 20-year-old Sheila Chebet, will remain remanded in prison for a further seven days, pending mental assessment. Bett, who was presented before justice Kizito Magare is accused of committing the offence on the evening of Saturday march 28 within the Karatina township, having been the last person to be seen in the company of the deceased KMTC Nyeri campus student, before her lifeless body was discovered in a nearby farm the next day. The accused, is expected before justice Kizito on Monday next week for plea taking.
