Muthoni sets 72-hour tree-hugging world record

If ratified by the Guinness World Book of Records, Truphena Muthoni will become the first human being on the planet to ever hug a tree for 72 hours. The quest that began on Monday saw hundreds flock to the Nyeri governor’s office in support of Muthoni, who braved harsh and changing weather conditions to clock the 72-hour record. In achieving the feat, Truphena had to endure zero sleep, no food, and no bathroom breaks.
