Operations at Naivasha Level IV Hospital were temporarily paralyzed after area residents protested over failed SHA payment, congestion, and a ban on food supplies to those in the wards. During the morning incident, anti-riot police had to be called in to contain the situation as patients and medics watched from a distance. The county government has attributed the congestion to the high number of patients from neighboring counties and the failure of tens of patients to register with the SHA.
