A multi-agency team led by the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) has begun a nationwide exercise to verify the eligibility of persons with disabilities for tax exemption.
Speaking during a two-day verification exercise at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, NCPWD Chief Executive Officer Dr. Michael Munene said the month-long exercise seeks to provide tax relief to eligible persons with disabilities in both formal and informal employment, in line with the Persons with Disabilities Act.
