The National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) has launched a road race campaign aimed at raising KSh 130.8 million to support drought-affected communities in Isiolo, Meru, Samburu, and Laikipia counties.
Scheduled for August 8, the NDMA Road Race for Peace and Resilience seeks to benefit over 5,000 households by improving water access, restoring degraded lands, strengthening climate-resilient livelihoods, and promoting peace initiatives in arid and semi-arid regions.
The race features 10km, 5km, and 2km categories, with renowned long-distance runner Daniel Simiu Ebenyo serving as the event ambassador, encouraging communities to participate and support the cause.
