NDMA RAISES SH130.5 MILLION TO TACKLE WATER CRISIS AND BUILD PEACE IN NORTHERN KENYA

The National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) has raised Sh130.5 million to support drought resilience, address water shortages and strengthen peace-building efforts in Isiolo, Samburu, Meru and Laikipia counties. Speaking during the inaugural NDMA Road Race at Archers Post, Samburu County, Governor Jonathan Lati Lelelit said water scarcity remains a major setback to peace-building in the region, where communities compete for scarce water and pasture resources.
