President William Ruto's allies in the broad-based political arrangement, led by Oburu Oginga, have downplayed DCP's victory in the Ol Kalou by-election, saying they remain confident ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking separately in Siaya and Migori counties, the leaders challenged the opposition to prepare to concede defeat in the next General Election and maintained that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission conducted a free, fair and credible by-election in Ol Kalou Constituency.
