Opposition questions Ruto’s fuel price reduction plan

Opposition-aligned leaders have criticised President William Ruto following his announcement that diesel prices will be reduced by KSh 10 in the June–July pricing cycle. The leaders, led by Mukurweini MP, say they do not understand how the President determines fuel prices, even as global fuel costs continue to fall without significant local reductions. They have also accused parliamentary speakers of failing to convene special sittings to address the ongoing fuel crisis in the country.
