Opposition says Ol Kalou vote signals 2027 trend

Opposition leaders have hailed the people of Ol Kalou for what they described as rejecting intimidation, violence and electoral malpractice during the by-election, saying the outcome offers a glimpse of what to expect in the 2027 General Election. Among those speaking were Fred Matiang'i, Martha Karua and leaders of the Linda Mwananchi movement, who pledged to strengthen election monitoring and close loopholes they claim have undermined the credibility of past elections.
