Over 1.2M grade KCPE candidates to join Secondary schools

    All the 1,230,588 candidates who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education will transit to secondary schools. Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu said all candidates who scored 400 marks and above have secured place in National or Extra County schools of their choice. The cabinet secretary said Public secondary school fees for the 2023 academic calendar year will remain at 53,554 SHILLINGS while that of County and Extra-County Schools remain at 40,555 SHILLINGS. The government will also maintain a capitation per student in all Public Secondary Schools at 22,244 shillings.
