Planned December 9 protests in Tanzania outlawed

Human rights defenders have called on the Tanzanian government to desist from undermining the right to hold peaceful demonstrations. Speaking at the KHRC offices in Nairobi, the activists demanded that protesters who will turn up in tomorrow’s peaceful procession be protected. They have further called for the resignation of President Samia Suluhu to allow the establishment of a transitional government
