Interior PS Raymond Omolo says police officers should expect another salary increment in the coming financial year as part of ongoing police reforms, including job harmonisation across all units. He noted that 55% of the targeted 500 reforms have already been achieved. The government is also amending laws to allow security agencies to use private CCTV systems, contrary to current laws, alongside plans to equip police officers with onboard cameras, as increased use of technology forms a key part of the reform agenda.
